Nowadays, people are bombarded with various reality TV shows that cater to various topics such as singing, dancing and of course, modeling. Modeling shows have also soared high in popularity. But what do you think is the most popular modeling show on TV today?

The most popular modeling show on TV today that a lot of people would also agree is America’s Next Top Model. There are several reasons why this is the most popular modeling show among other modeling shows that’s aired on TV.

First, during the rise of the popularity of reality TV in the year 2000 and so on, America’s Next Top Model is probably the first modeling reality TV show to premiere. So, obviously, the show has gathered a lot of audience already as it has been established earlier than other modeling shows nowadays.  

Second, the show is hosted and created by Tyra Banks, a known supermodel who also hosted her own Tyra Banks show. With the popularity of Tyra Banks, many women who are into fashion modeling look up to her. The thought of joining a show that Tyra Banks hosts makes lots of people join the show and hope to be like the supermodel Tyra herself or even just to have a future in the fashion industry.

Third, this show is popular because as most viewers say, it is very entertaining, exciting and thrilling as you never know who among the contestant gets to stay and gets to go.

Most importantly, America’s Next Top Model is the most popular modeling show not only because it has gained a lot of fans and lovers already but because it also has gathered a lot of bashers and critics. All popular reality TV shows get criticized and ANTM is not an exception. But the fact that ANTM has lots of bashers aside from lovers is a proof that many people watch this show enough to see or notice whatever flaws they think the show has.
